Choose HES for your Heat Pump Project
Although a relatively new technology here in the UK, heat pumps are widely used
in Scandinavia and many parts of Europe where renewable energy is available in
abundance. They are designed to take energy from outside and converts it into
heat to be used to heat your home and power your hot water system.
Heat Pump Systems from Nu-Heat
Here at Harvey Electrical Services, we are partnered with Nu-Heat to provide customers with the highest quality heat pumps for your commercial, domestic or industrial property.
A heat pump from Nu-Heat transfers significantly more energy into a property as heat than it uses to extract it from the ground or air, helping to lower fuel bills and reduce environmental impact. Their range of NIBE ground source and air source heat pumps are efficient renewable heat sources, transferring significantly more energy into a property as heat than they use to extract it from the ground or air.
Nu-Heat’s heat pump systems are designed to be the main heat source in a property, providing sufficient warmth and hot water without the need for a back-up boiler.
Choosing the Right Solution for your Home
Factors such as the size and construction of the property plus the location will be used by our team to determine the size of heat pump unit that is appropriate for each individual project. We offer a variety of different heat pumps from the Nu-Heat range to ensure that we account for each customer’s individual requirements.
Air Source Heat Pumps
- Amongst the most advanced and efficient models available in the UK
- Extracts heat from the air
- For every unit of electrical energy it uses to extract this heat, it typically outputs over 3 units of heat energy into the property
- They operate effectively year-round, even in temperatures as low as -20 ̊C!
- Fitted outdoors
- Does not require planning permission in most cases
Ground Source Heat Pumps
- Inexpensive and environmentally friendly
- Extracts heat stored in the ground using collector loops
- For every unit of electrical energy it uses to extract this heat, it typically outputs 4 units of heat energy into the property
- Suitable for properties with sufficient outdoor space to accommodate the ground loops. Vertical boreholes are also an option where there is less land available
What's Included?
- The heat pump unit
- A cylinder and buffer tank to store the heated water
- Circulation pumps
- All of the connecting brassware for the components
- Ground loops for ground source heat pump units
