St Teresa’s Hospice is an independent charity based in Darlington that provides palliative and end of life care as well as support to those in the local area. The charity had helped many families and touched many people’s hearts including ours at Harvey Electrical services.
We wanted to give something back to this amazing charity after they looked after Mags Harvey’s mother in her final days. Like many charities they have particular suffered due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak over the past year.
Therefore, with the help of suppliers Howdens and Yesss Electrical we helped to create the Light up a Life festive illuminations meaning the hospice could join in with the national appeal which offers people the opportunity to dedicate a light to someone special.
We were absolutely delighted to receive a letter from Peter Gibson MP commending us for helping St Teresa’s hospice with their Light up a Life Appeal, he said
“It was lovely to read in the Northern Echo that you have decked the hospice with lights for it’s Light up a Life service. It is this community spirit that will keep us going through this tough time.”
The project was not only amazing to be a part of, but it was our way of giving something back to this very special part of our community.
